Abraham is friendly and wants to know about your bike. He doesn’t burden you with Cyclocross war stories or condescend about how you should’ve replaced your chain 2,000 miles ago. He does something almost no other shop in this town seems capable of doing: he listens to you. Then he fixes your bike. It’s a simple, elegant arrangement. Thanks, Abraham!

An incompetent thief destroyed the frame of my beloved commuter bike. I had Abraham rebuild it from a new stock frame, and it’s better than ever. Great service at a very reasonable price.

I brought in my bike to have the back hub adjusted and Abe did it in a few minutes. Quick work, quality work and at a decent price. Grateful to have a well-adjusted iron horse.

Had some issues with my front + rear derailleur. Tried to fix them myself but only made things worse. Dropped my bike off with Abraham to take a look at, and he amended the issue. Without asking or charing me, he also adjusted the wonky position (created from cyclocross crashes) my shifters were in.
Stellar service and insight provided on what I had done wrong + what I had done to make things worse. Certainly will return with my other bikes.

I recently brought a bike in after a little wreck. I took it to two other shops that gave me a hefty list of things to repair, but I was really hoping to deal with the most problematic issues.
Abraham was quick to diagnose my bike and gave me a fantastic quote! An hour later my bike was ready to roll and his pleasent demeanor made this experience even more enjoyable!

I went in to Abraham Fixes Bikes not knowing why my bike wasn’t working correctly, and he was quick to spot the problem. Turns out, my wheels were triangular in shape, and not round as they should have been. I guess I shouldn’t have purchased triangle shaped wheels in the first place, I just thought they’d look cool on my fixie.

Abraham is the bomb. He always does excellent work and my bike rides like a dream after he finishes with it even though it is very old and tired… like me sometimes. I LOVE ABRAHAM FIXES BIKES BECAUSE HE IS EXCELLENT. And also because he believes in sustainabe community. I am a member. I will never go anywhere else unless I am physically required to. Loyalty is important in mutually beneficial community. Go team.

Abraham Fixes Bikes is a great place to go for bike help. I don’t really know what the heck I’m talking about when it comes to bikes, but they treated my stupid questions with a lot of respect. Very helpful. Great experience!

Hi Abraham! Just wanted to say thank you for fixing up my new bike (the Trek hybrid I brought in recently). It rides like a dream. So smooth! I love it. I wanted to get my mom’s bike tuned up for her as a Christmas gift, Abraham and his assistant did a great job at getting her older bike tuned up and even noticed a couple of things I hadn’t mentioned needed work. They were also nice enough to schedule around my work hours on days they were open for appointments only in order for me to get my mom’s bike back to her in a quick fashion.

Not only is Abraham an exceptional bike mechanic, he is also a fabulously generous mechanic. Abraham has worked with Portland Safe Routes to School to build a program that offers free bike repair to students and families in some of our city’s most diverse communities. In two years, the program has fixed 186 bikes. Abraham donates his time and expertise to send bike owners home with safer bikes and ear-to-ear smiles on their faces! Thank you!

The last time I saw my bike it was a hunk of rust that barely went up a hill. For my birthday my bike got fixed up by Abraham. When we pulled up to the shop and walked inside, it seemed as though my bike actually shined brighter and sparkled on the rack. I got to take it for a spin outside and boy, what a difference. It rode like a dream. Its a three-speed that the shifter just did not want to work which caused the hill problem. Abraham switched it out and made the entire bike work so much better. Being a birthday surprise, I had not actually met Abraham before but he is so nice and willing to answer questions and just has an immense welcoming when you walk into the shop.
Thank you Abraham for a wonderful new-used bike.

My wife and I took our bikes in to Abraham after they made their way from the east coast in the back of one of those multifamily moving trucks driven by a guy from Uzbekistan. I seriously had my doubts that my bike was going to be able to recover from relative misuse in the NY and a brutal move. Abraham, however, did an awesome job reviving our bikes. I was thinking that I might need to get myself a new one but not now! Abraham was also super professional. He called us to update us on what he found that the bikes needed and their costs. Lastly, he is a genuine person who takes time to have a conversation with you. This guy is the real deal.

Abraham is not only a bike mechanic, he is in all sense of the word a craftsman. You can tell that Abraham puts his soul into his work. I was truly shocked when he was finished with my bike. The work was far above and beyond any expectations I could have possibly had. At previous shops I was told to give my bike to Goodwill, that it was a lost cause, however, Abraham got on the case and the results are unbelievable! Also, Abraham is extremely approachable and down to earth. The prices are more than reasonable and the quality of the work is bar none. Head down there and you will understand what I am talking about. Thanks again!

Abraham is a true expert. I found him a few years ago and now my daughter and I use his services to keep our two wheelers on the road. Neither of us have top of the line bikes, but they are hard used bikes anyway and Abraham keeps them running. So, if you have a cheapo from Fred Meyer or a custom street rod, he will take amazing care of you and your bike.
Abraham rebuilds what he can and recycles everything he can saving you money. It takes time and effort, but he is committed to reusing anything possible.
I could not be happier with this young man. You will be happy too. I dont write feedback. EVER.

My wife is ecstatic with her reborn hybrid commuter bike… she’s taken to it with reckless abandon, and has taken half of her commute away from the car. Yesterday, she came home with lighting and reflectors and a new helmet. This personal investment is reflective of your service excellence.
To be honest, Abraham, I was having a hard time getting her “on the wagon” and cycling anywhere at all. After the bad attitudes of other bike repair shops in town, I didn’t know if this was going to work out. Thanks so much for putting the faith back into us. I will certainly refer anyone to your shop and speak of your services in the most positive light.
